Paperwork Reduction Bill

WHEREAS, the Associated Students of the University of Washington prints and photocopies out large volumes, approximately 50,000 sheets of paper, each year (based on current rate of printing paper and photocopying budget), and;

WHEREAS, the use of the internet has brought those numbers down in the past few years.

BE IT RECOMMENDED BY THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON STUDENT SENATE:

THAT, the Finance and Budget Committee of the ASUW identify and set goals on paperwork reduction through the following areas: hardcopies of minutes, agenda, and memoranda; employment and volunteer applications; flyers and publications, and; all other areas not covered herein, and;

THAT, the goals set by the Finance and Budget Committee and the progress to meet those goals be published in each subsequent quarterly report until the goals have been met.
