In Response To The Racially Discriminating T-shirts By Abercrombie And Fitch

WHEREAS Abercrombie & Fitch put out a line of t-shirts that were racially discriminating to the Asian Community.

WHEREAS Abercrombie & Fitch has failed to give a public apology in response to the offensiveness of the t-shirts.

WHEREAS the phrases on the t-shirts perpetuate discriminatory stereotypes aimed towards Asian-Americans.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON:

THAT in behalf of the Asian Student Commission, requests support from the ASUW Senate to educate the UW Community about this issue.

THAT the Associated Students of University of Washington understand the extent of this issue and how it politically and personally affects the greater Asian community in a negative fashion.
