A Resolution Opposing the Negative Check System on Student Fees

WHEREAS, the negative check system requires that students proactively request an optional fee on their tuition statement not be charged, and;

WHEREAS, the UW Administration may consider offering a negative check system on optional fees for student groups.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON:

THAT the students oppose the negative check system on all optional fees charged on their quarterly tuition statement, except for the U-PASS program.
