A Resolution in Support of an On-Campus Late-Night Coffee Shop

WHEREAS there are currently no on-campus options for late-night coffee and food, and;

WHEREAS the safety of students is a concern of the ASUW, and;

WHEREAS all campus operated food services shut down by 11 P.M., Sunday thru Thursday, and;

WHEREAS approximately 800 students visit Odegaard Undergraduate Library nightly, on average, between the hours of 11 P.M. and 4 A.M., Sunday thru Thursday. [1]

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON:

THAT the ASUW supports the expansion of coffee and food services in, or near, Odegaard Undergraduate Library, so that students may easily access coffee and food during late night hours.
